Rotating City Seal (Logo) Blunder
Just like the recent DHS secret shadow government's efforts to
"rotate"
the democratically elected Mayor's seat,
Someone decided to "rotate" the city logo/Seal
This was done without input from the people. The new seal,
while freshened up a little has nothing to do with the city of
Desert Hot Springs.

The original city seal/logo
with famous signature Hot Water Spa,
Mid Century Modern flat roof hotels,
desert palm trees, and the hot sun setting behind
the local hills/mountains!

The old city police badge reflect the same

The new seal shows agricultural crops (grape vineyards?)
being grown at the foothills of our local mountains.
Does anyone know of any history of any crops being grown ever, at
the
foothills of the local mountains? How about the lake that is shown?
Can anyone locate a lake in our city anywhere?. How about the
Beach shown? There is a beach, but it is at Oceanside or Huntington
Beach
about 100 miles away. Or is that the Salton Sea or the Great
Lakes?
Does anyone remember any public discussion, citizen committee's,
agenda items, anything, regarding changing the city
seal/logo?
We don't.

So we made up our own city seal/ logo's. These Seal/Logo
examples have as much to do with our city as the present
Seal/Logo does. How about Yosemite's Half Dome?

Or maybe the three stooges would be more appropriate
considering the very recent blunders and the long past history
of steady blunders from our elected "leaders"?

Of course, the Geico Gecko is a favorite!

I will donate my mug for the "rotating" Seal/Logo.

Maybe this is the most appropriate one of them all.
The evil clown!
Excerpts
from a recent FODHS reader's comments:
Lacking
any viable explanation, I suppose that a city logo
“free-for-all” is in order, and any old city logo will do.
Perhaps, the city logo is now suppose to turn into a rotating
one. So maybe next week the logo will be changed again to
show something like the profile of Mt. Rushmore of Yosemite Falls,
which are no more relevant to Desert Hot Springs as fields of grape
vineyards and agricultural uses displayed in the new fake city logo,
anymore than the city now appearing to be relocated along the
shores of the Salton Sea, or perhaps the Great Salt Lake or Lake
Michigan . . . or maybe Crater Lake . . . ??????
Perhaps
for different days of the week, the city could set aside one hour of
the work day to commemorate different memorabilia to appear on the
revolving city logo. Just to be consistent with the new
illegal logo, the other logos created for this purpose, would
contain references to objects equally obscure and unrelated to the
history of the City of DHS.
On Mondays, the city logo could prominently display a salamander,
then transforming into a giant redwood tree on Tuesdays.
Wednesdays, perhaps a silhouette of a lighthouse could be used,
Thursdays could be reserved in commemoration of a giant 400 foot
high windmill, Fridays could be reserved for Seagulls, Saturdays the
logo could be represented by a cameo of the new city manager, and
for Sunday, a group picture of a rabbi, priest, minister and Islamic
cleric may be deemed appropriate!
